Cardiff
As our plans had changed, we were no longer staying in Wales before we headed to Ireland. Therefore, while staying in Bath, we decided to do a day trip to Cardiff and checked out Cardiff Castle.
Getting to Cardiff was easy, but parking around Cardiff Castle is a bit of a pain. We tried one of the NCP Carparks near by but it was rediculously small – we decided not to try and navigate that one and found another one. The NCP Cardiff Grayfriairs was a short walk away, geting around inside the carpark was easy and we parked closed to the top and had no-one park next to us. However, it was expensive to park in £17 pound approximately for a couple of hours!
The castle itself was good to go around, including the tunnels under the surrounding wall which was for people to shelter in during the air raids in the war. The living areas were particularly stunning and featured different cultures in their furnishings and decor.
